Malcolm x Raylan: Cowboy Surprise

Art was suspicious right off the bat when Raylan took a week off with the express note that his phone would be Out Of Order til the next Monday, but the Chief Marshal wasn't going to look gift horses in the mouth. Not when it suggested he'd have a few days of peace, until Raylan caved to turning his phone back on again. Still, he watched the younger Marshal walk out of the office and promised himself to check into the state of Harlan within 3 days to make sure that the place wasn't on fire. The smoke would reach him before he called, he was sure.

But Art didn't have much to worry about - Raylan had no plans on staying in the state for his vacation, beyond one day spent closing up Arlo's and securing it the best way he could before getting on a plane to New York City. He wanted to surprise Malcolm - it'd been near two months since they'd last seen each other and frankly, Raylan was tired of missing him. They'd called and texted, stayed in a fairly consistent, if odd houred, touch but it wasn't the same.

Once he landed, Raylan rented a car and navigated his way towards Malcolm's apartment, stopping to grab a bouquet of flowers. It was.. Extra, but Raylan didn't want to show up empty handed, just in case. Thirty minutes later, Malcolm's door buzzer was being hit, like Raylan was here to deliver something. Well, he was, but that was half the fun.

Raylan shrugged with his face and a bob of his head. "Maybe next time. Adventure of that kind isn't smart when you're trying to not disgust your boyfriend."

The word had been dancing around in the back of his head after every one of their conversations.

"I don't trust delivery sushi either. Honestly, I think I'd be okay with a burger. I've been told that New York pizza is meant to be eaten on the street on pain of death." And since they were, by his own admission, disgusting, burgers were the clear option.

"Any Cuban? I could eat some Cuban." Miami had an effect.

Another five minutes of back and forth ensued before Raylan decided on Cuban. "I'll let you pull up whatever on your phone - my blackberry will get replaced once it dies."

Malcolm heard that word and his heart beat faster but it felt smarter not to comment on it because it felt like something would happen to it if he disturbed it. He may have nodded for too long, though, in agreement.

But of course New York had Cuban - New York had everything - and he fumbled for his phone once they'd decided, ordering masitas with rice for Raylan and an extra serving of plain rice that he intended to eat.

He set his phone down and he returned to Raylan's arms. "Forty minutes. What should we do with that?"

He didn't doubt that the use was caught by Malcolm and the fact he's not saying anything about it left a sweet sort of smile on Raylan's face. They'd get to it, he was sure. Raylan let Malcolm order in peace but when Malcolm turned back to him, the Marshal was already reaching for him to tuck them back together.

The question only made his smile spread, eyebrows lifting over half lidded eyes as he pushed his hat back a few inches.

"Well," he started, leaning in to pepper Malcolm's lips with a kiss. "I can think of-" Another kiss, "-A few things to fill our time." This time when he kissed Malcolm, it wasn't brief and laced its way towards less than innocent heat. Raylan had missed Malcolm in more ways than one and while the sex wasn't what he was here for specifically, it was a pretty sweet perk, especially after two months of having nothing but himself for that kind of company.

The answer he'd been hoping for. He was very conscious of letting Raylan dictate the pace; he didn't want to rush or push and make him uncomfortable.

But he did say 'boyfriend' and he was talking about Malcolm.

He smiled into the first couple of kisses, but when the next one lingered, he met it with equal heat and eagerness, already reaching for the buttons on Raylan's shirt so he could start fumbling them open.

Raylan had the good sense of mind to grab and toss his hat behind him towards the bed, though he couldn't tell where the thing landed, more focused on getting his hands back around Malcolm. Pulling up his t-shirt and casting it off, Raylan kissed him again, peeling off the blazer overtop his darker print plaid, only to follow with the shirt itself that he'd decided to wear today.

He could tell they were tilting towards feverish touch, reminiscent of their make-out session in his barn, and he was more than okay with this being their reward for tolerating being apart.

"I like the sweatpants and t-shirt," he husked between kisses. "No buttons or belts to deal with." As though to prove it, Raylan pushed Malcolm's pants and underwear over and off the majority of his hips, though not quite enough to get them to drop. His eagerness to get Malcolm's bare skin under his hands wasn't subtle and he knew it, but he was getting to be okay with that too.

Malcolm grinned into the next kiss, reaching for the hem of Raylan's undershirt to push it up his body and pull it over his head. It was exciting and arousing, the fact that Raylan wanted him so palpably. Him.

"I think this is the first time you've been more complicated than me," he laughed, reaching down to unbuckle Raylan's belt and fumble at his button and zipper while leaning in for another hungry kiss.

He chuckled as he tossed his shirt to the side, lips happily reclaimed as his hands found and finished pushing Malcolm's pants off. Waiting the fraction of a moment that Malcolm needed to strip Raylan down, he hummed and muttered for Malcolm to wait so he could toe off and haphazardly kick one boot after the other off into some corner of the apartment before shucking the rest of his pants.

As he brought them together, bare and wonderful, Raylan hummed a rough note of satisfaction into the kiss, letting one hand slip between them to find and stroke Malcolm's length, just as hungry to watch the man's brain stutter in the short circuit of pleasure before turning him around at the hips to head them towards the bed, with only a word to get them there. "Bed."

Raylan was so uniquely capable of making his brain stutter and he was still dazed as Raylan turned him around.

Bed. Yes.

And he liked the little commanding note to Raylan's voice. Gentle but compelling.

"Bed."

He was careful not to trip over the step up, eager to get there and get his hands on Raylan again, turning in his arms as they arrived to kiss him deeply, grasping his face in both hands.

It would have been a terrible way to spend a vacation if one of them tripped on that step up and cracked their head and Malcolm was far too distracting when he was facing him - danger never took a day off.

But once they were over it, Raylan could be recollected and he wasted no time in picking Malcolm up and settling him around his hips, using one hand to help keep his weight there as Raylan laid them carefully onto the bed. The kiss had the rest of the world bleeding out from around them and Raylan lost himself in the twisting of their tongues and the way they fit together.

Malcolm wrapped his legs around Raylan to help keep him there and as they landed on the bed, he slid his arms around him too, one hand sliding up into his hair to thread his fingers through it.

As the kiss broke for air, Malcolm kept his face close to Raylan's, his eyes drifting along its lines and features, studying them, remembering them, memorizing them.

"No matter how good I remember this being, it's always better," he murmured.

Mm. Words. Those were going to be hard. Raylan surveyed the lines and fond tilt of Malcolm's everything underneath him and smiled crookedly at the words. "Glad I live up to expectations," he hummed, stealing another nipping kiss before continuing. "I think about this more than I should. Having you under me, around me.. We're not going two months again," he warned.

Malcolm smiled broadly at that warning. "I can make short visits more often." He kissed him. "I have space between cases. I can come to Lexington," he promised breathlessly, kissing him again, arching his back to press against Raylan more.

"Day long trips; we can start early," he murmured back as one hand found its way up the new space under Malcolm's back as he hitched a hungry sound in the back of his throat, hips pushing forward to rub them together messily between their stomachs. Raylan didn't know where to start, free hand palming up Malcolm's chest close enough that his fingers danced along the bottom of Malcolm's throat before it changed direction and slid back down to grip at his hip as Raylan's moved forward again.

The friction hit in just the right spot and Malcolm broke the kiss with a gasp, grabbing Raylan's shoulder, his hand in Raylan's hair tightening.

The reaction set everything in Raylan's head off and his hand moved to grasp the both of them, stroking their lengths in a few, brief but fluid motions.

"Blowjobs aside-" His mind had been places, okay? "You got any lube or lotion in these drawers? I want to take all forty of these minutes to make you make all those sexy little noises."

His brain was barely functioning and the forty minutes of sexy noises remark definitely make some neurons short out. It took him a second to process that there was a question for him.

"L... yes. The... the drawer beside the bed." He lifted his hand from Raylan's shoulder to point towards the night stand, the hand in his hair sliding down along his neck. "There."

Raylan stole another kiss with a rough, primal little growl before he pulled away to haphazardly shuffle over the bed to the nightstand. The drawer was pulled open and Raylan rifled til he found an appropriate looking bottle, crawling back over on top of Malcolm before leaning back on his hunches and slathering a good size dollop on his fingers.

He looked at Malcolm from under his eyebrows as the bottle was clicked shut for a moment, his free hand spreading his legs.

"Tell me if its not okay," he cautioned softly, smearing Malcolm center for a long moment before gently working his digits in.

God, that sound was sexy and he tilted his head so he could watch Raylan's brief excursion to the drawer.

He nodded at the instructions, but the direction was more than okay with him. As Raylan pushed a finger in, he shifted slightly for a better angle, but he watched the other man's face, his own flush with excitement and arousal and anticipation.

Two months was too long.

There was no helping the lick and bite of Raylan's lip as he looked up at Malcolm's face, the echo of his last gasp still burning through the taller man's veins. He remembered their last times, and how they eased into it for several bursts of passion, but he was hungry and wound tight. It wouldn't do, today, and Raylan refused to hurt Malcolm.

One finger slowly grew into two that pushed two knuckles deep, off hand absently rubbing his thumb in the soft inner corner of Malcolm's hip as he started thrusting, spreading and prepping Malcolm for what he aimed to bring.

A shaky breath and a nod of further consent as he shifted his hips to meet Raylan's hand. Again, he tried to focus on staying relaxed, to help things along because he wanted it too. He wanted Raylan's skin against his, he wanted the hungry kisses until he was too overcome to manage them, he wanted ever feral sound that burst from his throat.

Once Raylan could settle his fingers into something of a pace, he could move back forward, moving Malcolm's leg between his own so they weren't trying to bend the man in half so he could pull Malcolm up the half inch into a demanding kiss.

Malcolm moaned into the kiss, the hunger in Raylan's touch, the friction between their bodies, his fingers pushing into Malcolm.

"I'm ready," he murmured against Raylan's mouth.

He hummed his acknowledgement, fingers slowing as he lingered in the kiss before pulling away and shifting again, pausing to add more lube to himself and repositioning over Malcolm, length already pushing. Raylan sighed out another rough note in satisfaction as he hung his face close to Malcolm's, watching it shift as his first stroke shifted quickly into a deep thrust that was followed with another until his hips were snapping forward in rapid pace.

His breathing drew quick and shallow, his hand sliding back up into Raylan's hair, his knees pulling up around Raylan's ribs, urging him on with soft grunts and gasps.

Raylan ate those sounds up, breathing out his own heavy half hitched sounds as his head bowed a little in Malcolm's hands, hips rolling to stir himself in him with each thrust. "I love hearing you," Raylan muttered between breaths, body tight and firm with his needy movements.
