"I suppose," he said, otherwise interrupted by his cell phone ringing. He was clearly irritated by the noise, lips pinching into a thin line at the name that he saw on the screen. "Ava Crowder," he muttered, muting the call and slipping it back into his pocket with a lift of his eyebrows.
